Climate Characteristics:  Paysandú has a seasonal climate with rare extreme temperatures. The absence of mountains and others weather barriers make it vulnerable to high winds and rapid changes in weather as fronts or storms sweep across the country. Seasons are fairly well defined.

 Köppen climate classification: The climate of Paysandu is considered Cfa according to the Köppen climate classification. Moist Tropical Climates are known for their high temperatures year round and for their large amount of year round rain. f - Moist with adequate precipitation in all months and no dry season. There are also hot summers where the warmest month is over 22°C (72°F).

Climate Characteristics: Robertson normally receives about 255mm of rain per year and because it receives most of its rainfall during winter it has a Mediterranean climate. The temperate climate features warm summers and cool winters with frost rarely a problem. Rain falls mainly between May and August. Further east and towards the north, the Klein Karoo, Olifants River and Orange River areas tend to be warmer and drier.

Köppen climate classification: Robertson is classified as Csb, having a mild humid climate with a dry summer.
